I am running a MASCHIO 47" offset flail on my 1025R. "Is it too much for the 1025R?". Technically yes, but very manageable. When fully lifted the pressure relief valve kicks in, but I just lower it a very little and the pressure relief valve kicks outs. You absolutely need a hydraulic top link to operate it with. When the flail mower is extended it won't lift at all. This is not a real problem, I just drive forward or backwards and retract it until it will lift. I installed a Summit four valve rear hydraulic kit with the two pushbuttons and loader pushbutton handle. I put the valves on the right side ropes instead of the left hand side to make it easier to get on and off the bachhoe when its on (no real issue with visibility). Overall the offset feature is awesome and well worth the minor issues when operated on a 1025R.

The rotor turns at 2000 rpm and is belt driven. The hammers fold back to avoid damages while hitting stones or large debris.
